This moving yet humorous film in the True Stories strand from Mat Whitecross follows two refugee families from Burma over the course of a year that will change their lives completely. Forced from their homeland by the repressive military junta, they have lived in a Thai refugee camp for almost twenty years.
A UN relocation scheme offers them the chance of a new life, but their new home, in the British city of Sheffield, will be different to everything they’ve ever known. With intimate access, Moving to Mars depicts their struggles with 21st century Britain.

El Berlusconi chileno

Ambos considerado un país de la OCDE, separado de América Latina, “América Latina Tiger”, Chile obtuvo un Berlusconi. Este es el elenco de Sebastián Piñera, el recién elegido presidente de Chile, haciendo que el derecho de volver al gobierno -, después de haber ocupado violentamente el poder por una dictadura militar desde 1973 hasta 1990.
Neoliberalismo recargado

“En lo ajeno reina la desgracia” dice la sabiduría popular. La Concertación tomó prestado para sí, en 1990, el extremista modelo neoliberal que dejó como herencia la brutal dictadura del general Pinochet. Y durante 20 años lo administró con tal “fe neoliberal” que hasta lo dejó instalado en el selecto club neoliberal de la OECD. Por tanto, desde la perspectiva del neoliberalismo mundial, los gobiernos de la Concertación fueron excepcionalmente exitosos.
